October 9, 2013 Niagara Falls to Lake Placid, NY

We left Niagara Falls about 8:30- and rode the Niagara Gorge up to Lake Ontario and crossed back into the USA on I-190.  We ran the New York Throughway across western NY to Syracuse and then North on 1-81 to Watertown, then off the Interstate and into the Adirondack Mountains on Highway 3.  We stopped at the local Watertown Harley/Snowmobile store and came across a beautiful colorful route into Lake Placid.  It is a lot like a small Gatlinburg and our Hotel is right on Mirror Lake.  We started the day in the low 50's and made it up to about 68 this afternoon.  It is supposed to get down to 33 in the morning.
