We had a great day today and saw the fall colors that we have always heard about in this part of the country. I got up early and walked around Lake Placid and had a great breakfast at the Downtown Diner. We got on the road about 11:00 AM after it warmed up in the 50's. It was 27 when I got started taking pictures of Mirror Lake. We rode east over to Lake Champlain and rode the "Locks to Lakes Scenic Byway" which took us down Lake Champlain's West Bank then down the lock and dam system to the Hudson River. It was all back roads and much road construction so 238 miles brought us to Kingston about 6:00. It is wash day so we are doing laundry as I type. Fall in the Hampton's. How great is that!!
