October 14, 2013-Washington, DC to Virginia Beach, VA

We left DC about 10:00 AM and headed east on Highway 50 across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge south of Annapolis  towards Salisbury MD. We ran about 334 miles today.  It was cool and cloudy but warmed up as the day went on topping out around 72 degrees.  We  headed south and ran the "Underground Railroad" Byway and then the "beaches to bay" Indian route down to Highway 13 which took us South to the Chesapeake Bridge-Tunnel to Virginia Beach arriving about 4:00PM.  As we have been the last few days, we are staying at the Hampton Oceanfront and had a great dinner at Nick's Restaurant which is a local spot close by.  Tomorrow will be a beach day weather  permitting.  It is also wash day and the laundry is running!!
